Esculturas recicladas / Recycled Sculptures

Talagante also celebrated in style the bicentenary of Chile, and did so with a large sample of manners. As typical huasa area, was cueca championships and traditional games. I attended a day at night, and I was surprised sculptures of characters from the field and Chilean mythology, so I went back the day and share with you this work. Particularly striking is the number of items recycled in each sculpture: screws, nuts, traces of shovels and wheelbarrows, locks and systems showers, bicycle chains, chicken wire, mattresses and more.

Trabajos con mucho color / Jobs with lots of color

I admire work done so soberly with two or three colors are really delicate and elegant. Sometimes I intend to do something so, and I start playing with fabric in a couple of tones, and I achievement sew some blocks, but at any moment, something is monotonous, as when food lacks salt or any seasoning that let tasty. And here I start very subtly to incorporate yellow, red and many other colors that makes my job that takes strength. After questioning this subject, I concluded that this is my style, though not easily accommodate a variety of colored pieces ... it turns into something harmonious.

This week I started doing a foot quilt and these are some of the blocks that compose it.

El pájaro sobre el árbol / The bird on the treeEl ángel y la casa / The angel and the houseAparte de todo el tema del color, a mí me gusta hacer la aplicación a mano, y en este caso decorar el vestido del ángel con bordado.

Apart from the whole issue of color, I like to make the appliqué at hand, and in this case the angel dress decorated with embroidery.

There are combination of patchwork and paper piecing.

I hope to have it ready in October for an exhibition in the school of my children, which also will show my totes and cosmetic bags.

Hasta pronto.

En septiembre, pretendo / In September, I pretend

I am not my style to show progress of my work, therefore, often goes a long time until I finish it, and many others remain in the drawer of oblivion. In April I showed a cabinet that would begin to paint, it should not take more than a week and would put on a spot chosen for him, but it was not, was kept for several months and during winter break I went to the house to go gradually complete it. I still need sand the paint, wax it and assemble the doors, even if I have the hinges and handles for doors and drawers.

For panels that go behind the wood turned, I found a landscape fabric, really is everything, the only thing that I put the batteries.

I hope to make a new entry to the cabinet soon and not in several months, for now, for that does not clash with the rest of the house, I placed some enameled I've gathered.
Hasta pronto.
Goodbye.
